Book Review Competition

As part of the National Library Week 2024 celebrations, the college library organized a Book Review Competition featuring a selection of randomly chosen books from various genres, authors, and languages. This event aimed to encourage students to explore literature critically and creatively.

The books for the competition were randomly selected to include both classic and contemporary works in English and Malayalam. Some of the notable titles reviewed include:

National Library Week Activity: "Know a Book" at KMM College of Arts & Science

As part of the National Library Week celebrations at KMM College of Arts & Science, we conducted the event "Know a Book" on 18th November 2024. The program aimed to introduce library users to new and noteworthy books available in the library, encouraging a culture of reading and exploration.

  1. Malayalam Book:

    • Title: Coffee House

    • Author: Lajo Jose

    • About the Book:
      Coffee House is a captivating Malayalam novel that weaves together elements of mystery, suspense, and human emotions. Lajo Jose's engaging storytelling brings readers into a world of intricate characters and unpredictable twists, making it a must-read for fans of contemporary Malayalam literature.

  2. English Book:

    • Title: A Tale of Two Cities

    • Author: Charles Dickens

    • About the Book:
      A Tale of Two Cities is a timeless classic by Charles Dickens, set against the backdrop of the French Revolution. The novel explores themes of love, sacrifice, and redemption through its gripping narrative, making it one of the most celebrated works of English literature.
