Basheer Day Quiz – Prize Distribution Ceremony

KMM College Library organized the Prize Distribution Ceremony for the Basheer Day Quiz Competition. The prize was presented to the winner, Malavika from B.Com Logistics, by Principal Dr. Sabana Backer, along with KMM College Librarian Assa T. A.

The ceremony celebrated Malavika’s achievement and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students in the Basheer Day Quiz. The college library congratulates the winner and encourages all students to participate actively in future library programmes and literary activities

 

 

 

KMM College Library Orientation Programme for BCA Students

KMM College Library conducted an Orientation Programme for BCA students on 16 July 2026. The programme introduced students to the facilities and services available in the college library, including library rules and regulations, book borrowing procedures, OPAC, e-resources, and NLIST. An NDLI (National Digital Library of India) Orientation Class was also conducted to familiarise students with the NDLI platform and its wide range of digital learning resources. The session aimed to encourage students to make effective use of both print and digital library resources and develop regular reading and information-searching habits.

 

 

 KMM College Library organized a Book Exhibition on 23 June 2026 (Tuesday) as part of the Reading Week celebrations. A variety of books were displayed for students and faculty members. The exhibition encouraged students to develop reading habits and make better use of library resources.The programme received active participation from the community.

Book Exhibition Conducted as Part of Reading Week Celebration

As part of the Reading Week Celebration, the KMM College Library organized a Book Exhibition to promote reading habits and create awareness about the importance of books and lifelong learning. The exhibition featured a wide collection of books covering literature, science, commerce, management, social sciences, biographies, and general knowledge.

The exhibition was attended by Dr. Sabana Backer, Principal, faculty members, and students, who enthusiastically visited the exhibition and explored the library's diverse collection. The event provided an opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with valuable learning resources and develop an interest in reading.

On the occasion, Assa T. A., Librarian, delivered a brief talk on the importance of cultivating reading habits. The session emphasized how regular reading enhances knowledge, critical thinking, communication skills, creativity, and personal development. Students were encouraged to make reading a daily habit and to utilize the library's resources effectively.

The Book Exhibition was well received by the college community and served as one of the highlights of the Reading Week celebrations, reinforcing the library's commitment to promoting a vibrant reading culture among students.
